Personal Letter From Your Pastors

Personal Letter From Pastor LT & Weeda Moss

Pastor LT and Weeda Moss are the founding pastors of Church of The Living Word that begin as a vision from the Lord in January 1984. From a very humble beginning in a meeting room at the Rodeway Inn in Mercedes with about 10 people. Three months later moved into the back of an auto parts warehouse to its present location and campus here in southeastern Weslaco on Camino de Verdad. The present campus sets on 10 acres of land in he Mid Valley with room to expand and grow. Pastors LT and Weeda Moss have been faithful to continue and carry the vision for almost 33 years.

The vision given to the pastors was to establish a Word of Faith non-denominational, New Testament church in the Rio Grande Valley. The assignment was to preach and teach the Word of Faith and to build up strong families in The Word and Faith. The vision was to become a family church that would minister to every member of the family regardless of age or race to help them find their purpose and mature as a believer’s in Christ.

The vision Pastor LT and Weeda Moss from the beginning for Church Of The Living Word were to create an environment for the presence and peace of God. Dynamic Worship and Teaching that equipped the Saints for the Work of God. Also to draw people into a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  They see a campus on these 10 acres that includes a state of the art house of worship and a multi-purpose building for youth and children’s ministries as well. Eventually even to have satellite churches strategically placed across the Valley. They would like to see the ministry operating every day of the year. Winning souls and changing lives is a top priority all for the Glory of God

Our pastors believed the church could become debt free through its faithful members and teaching God’s plan to bless and prosper His people. Part of their assignment was to bring God’s Word that would break the curse of poverty and debt off of God’s people. By the Grace of God the church has become debt free and has over 1.5 million dollars of assets accumulated over the 32 1/2 years of its existence. They know without the faithfulness and prayerful support of God’s people and the Lord’s favor this could have never been accomplished. We give all the glory to God and thank Him for what He has done through all of us here at Church Of The Living Word.

We believe the future is bright for Church of the Living Word and  it was established to last into future generations and or until the Lord comes. Pastor LT and Weeda Moss have always desired Church Of The Living Word to become stronger with each generation.

We have seen many of these dreams and visions come to pass through out the years as children have grown up and remained connected to God and Church Of The Living Word.  Our present goals are to have the right kind of leadership and Pastors in position that share their heart and passion for the local church. We know some day the baton and mantel of this ministry will have to be passed on. When that time comes to assure the church family and ministry will continue and the vision of Church Of The Living Word will remain strong and alive.

We believe the Local Church will be key in the last days. The church will be a refuge and place of safety with a light that will attract the lost. We want Church of the Living Word to have a vital role and a key part in the plan of God. May God receive all the glory from His Church.

We love and appreciate all of our faithful church family who has supported the vision and their pastors for these many years. All of you along with God’s grace have contributed to making Church of The Living Word a success.  We pray we have sown into your lives good things that have made a difference.

May God continue to bless you richly!

Pastor LT & Weeda Moss
