Revival

A web based encyclopedia defines a “Christian revival as a specific period of increased spiritual interest or renewal in the life of a church congregation or many churches, either regionally or globally. Revivals are seen by leaders as the restoration of the church itself to a vital and fervent relationship with God after a period of decline.” In saying that however I am very mindful that historically there are certain things that seem to be a precursor to the ushering in of a spiritual revival.

1. Powerful uncompromising Bible Preaching
2. Christian Unity.
3. The Positive Power of  Prayer.
4. Manifestation of Supernatural Power
5. A Heightened Expectation and Desire to Seek after God

In Conclusion, if there is such a thing as a process in Revival and again I emphasise you cant put God in a box. I have observed that, as in the Charismatic renewal, what I describe as a “wave of joy” will engulf the church as it celebrates its freedom in Christ. A revival joy will be evident in our church services. People will return to thier first love.
